Greta Nauck Tabbed CAA Player of the Week

Junior wide receiver Jamie Jarmon was named CAA Offensive Player of the Week and junior safety Nasir Adderley was selected as the CAA Defensive Player of the Week.

Courtnie Roberts named CAA Volleyball Rookie of the Week

Enabosi, a two-year starter and letter winner for Delaware, was an All-CAA First Team and All-Defensive Team selection following a tremendous sophomore slate in 2016-17. The forward led the Hens in five statistical categories and also ranked in the Top 10 of seven CAA categories. Enabosi averaged a double double of 13.7 points and 10.0 rebounds and was 17th amongst all NCAA Division I players with 16 double doubles.

Following a crucial win on Sunday, October 8th, the Blue Hens swept the CAA Weekly accolades as Greta Nauck was named the CAA Player of the Week while Lotte de Koning garnered Rookie of the Week honors. Nauck earned her second recognition of the year and De Koning collected her second straight, and third overall, Rookie of the Week honor.

Was named the CAA Field Hockey Rookie of the Week Tuesday October 3rd. Posted two goals and two assists as No. 7 Delaware (8-3) ousted opponents by a tally of 13-0 in two games the previous weekend. Registered the game-winning goal on Friday, September 29th's 4-0 CAA-opening win at Drexel. She added a goal and two assists in Sunday October 1st's 9-0 victory over Lafayette.

Ariane Klotz earned CAA Women's Golfer of the Week honors on Wednesday. Klotz tied for fourth place at the Penn State Nittany Lion Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, as her one under par score of 74-70-71-215 on the par 72, 6,341-yard PSU Blue Course is the second lowest in program history. Additionally, Klotz's second round 70 tied for the lowest of her career.

Julia Hayes was named the CAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week on Monday following two outstanding performances in the Blue Hens' opening conference matches. Hayes recorded a career-high nine blocks during Delaware's two matches at William & Mary and Elon.

Jack Gianniny was named the CAA Men's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday. Gianniny fired a three under par 71-71-71-213 on the par 72, 7,071-yard Chantilly National Golf & Country Club course to finish in second place at the George Mason Patriot Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday. Gianniny's three-round total tied for the fourth lowest 54-hole score of his career, as he helped the Blue Hens tie for second place out of 16 squads in the team standings.

Outside hitter Maria Bellinger was named the Colonial Athletic Association Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week on September 18 following her outstanding performance at the George Washington Tournament over the weekend.

Emmeline Oltmans collected her first-ever CAA Player of the Week honors Tuesday following a clutch performance over then-No. 2 Penn State. The senior goalie led then-No. 6 Delaware (6-1) to a 2-0 victory over the previously undefeated Nittany Lions (7-1). Oltmans posted eight saves, including a crucial penalty stroke stop in the 52nd minute, to help the Hens to shutout a Top-4 opponent for just the second time in program history, with the last instance also coming versus Penn State (then-No. 3) in 1987.

Lotte de Koning Collects CAA Field Hockey Rookie of the Week Accolades

Strien recorded the first goal and assist of her collegiate career in the Blue Hens' home opener on Friday versus Dartmouth, a 9-1 victory. She also came through with her team's second goal in Sunday's 5-3 win over Top 10 foe Princeton, finding the back of the net on her only shot of the game.

Nauck paced Delaware over a 2-0 week with a pair of two-goal contests, headlined by Sunday's 5-3 victory over then-No. 8 Princeton in Newark. The junior opened the weekend with two goals in a 9-1 win over Dartmouth.

This summer, more than 150 UD undergraduate students have worked on a range of research projects in disciplines all across the university as well as in the community. Over the past 10 weeks, they have collaborated with their faculty mentors and, in many cases, with other undergraduates and with graduate students, learning how original research takes place and creating new knowledge themselves.

University of Delaware sophomore outside hitter Maria Bellinger was named Preseason All-Colonial Athletic Association Volleyball honorable mention.

After capturing the program's first-ever NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship in 2016, four-time defending conference champion Delaware has been picked as the Colonial Athletic Association field hockey favorite in 2017, following a vote by the league's seven head coaches. Five total Blue Hens also earned Preseason All-CAA accolades.

In order to earn ITA Scholar Athlete status, a student-athlete must be a varsity letter winner with a GPA of at least 3.50 for the current academic year.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association named 12 University of Delaware field hockey student-athletes to its National Academic Squad, honoring their work in the classroom.

University of Delaware senior co-captain James Connelly was selected in the sixth round of the Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft by the Denver Outlaws.

University of Delaware graduate Elijah Conte, a former star defensive midfielder for the Blue Hen men's lacrosse team and contributor to numerous community service events throughout his UD career, has been selected as the winner of the 2016 Yeardley Reynolds Love One Love Unsung Hero Award. The national award is given to two Division I lacrosse players - one male and one female - who demonstrate dedication, integrity, humility, hard work, community service, leadership, kindness and sportsmanship.
